Get to know me

Hello, my name is Corie, and I'm a Generalist Photographer who finds beauty in all things. My passion for photography was ignited by my first love - the great outdoors. I believe humans are an integral part of nature, just like rivers, mountains, and forests. Capturing the beauty and intrigue of life through my lens is what I adore. My work ranges from portraits to lifestyle, from landscapes to natural wonders, and from astrophotography to macro shots. There's immense joy for me in photographing the world around me.

Not only am I a photographer, I'm also an allied healthcare worker and I take immense pride in wearing both hats. In my day-to-day life, I navigate the realms of healing and creativity, capturing the essence of both mankind and nature through my two passions. As I oscillate between these two worlds, I’ve come to realize they aren't separate at all. Both professions require a mixture of art and science, the delicate balance of compassion and skill. Whether I’m providing care or capturing a sunset, it’s all about connection—drawing out the shared human experience that binds us all, but the best thing in my life is my family. I'm a wife, a mother of 3 boys and I love them all dearly.

There's something else about me :) I love dragonfly. Dragonflies have always held a special place in my heart, captivating me with their grace and beauty. Growing up in the Philippines, I spent countless afternoons chasing these enchanting insects, marveling at their iridescent wings and agile flight. Each time I caught one, I felt a sense of wonder, as if I had captured a piece of nature’s magic. Their vibrant colors and intricate designs made them stand out against the lush greenery of my childhood surroundings. I remember the thrill of observing them up close, learning about their unique features and behaviors. These experiences not only deepened my appreciation for dragonflies but also fostered a lifelong fascination with the natural world. Even now, the sight of a dragonfly brings back fond memories of those carefree days spent exploring the outdoors. It just also happens that they symbolize hope and infinite possibilities.
